No, its not bad for you. However, it can cause nausea at large doses. But if you dose on a half-full stomach, it shouldn't cause you much trouble.

I've read up to 2000mg of Guaifenesin is safe until you get sick, but 1000 is safer. That should give you 100mg of codeine which isn't a bad dose.

Don't take my word for it, im not 100% positive on this as I tend to avoid guaifenesin.

Well I got a bit of a story here and I was wondering if I could get your guys input. I had this cough syrup prescribed to me last fall too. My mom was sick also so she also had a prescription for this stuff and she was taking it too, but she made a mistake with the dosage. Instead of measuring it out in teaspoons, which is what your supposed to do, she measured it out in table spoons. Well the directions on the bottle are 1-2 teaspoons ever 4-6 hours. Two teaspoons is 10mL which is 20mg of codeine which is what you'd normally take. Well then my mom took two tablespoons and which is 30mL which is then 60mg of codeine. Well I first noticed this right after my mom took her second dosage. I saw that she had put an awful lot of syrup in the cup and I looked at her and I said, "wait, are you measuring that in tablespoons?" She looked at me with a very weird look and kinda laughed and said "well maybe thats why it feels like I've had a little too much to drink tonight." So pretty much my mom was accidentaly tripping on codeine. I read on erowid that 30-60mg would be a good amount of codeine to start out at. For my first time of actually abusing this stuff I was thinking of maybe 50mg. Sorry for the length.

There's a lot of people on Dextroverse that claim to be feeling fine from stuff that should probably cause some issues. I'm not sure that I would use the major warriors as my benchmark.

Now that we're done with discussing the ins and outs of the latest slang, anyone got an answer for the OP? It'd be cool if we could stay on topic and help him.

The 2oz mark mentioned earlier is about right. This'll give you 120 mg of Codeine, and only 1200mg of guaf, which shouldn't give you much stomach problems, if at all. Adding the sprite and stuff would probably make it taste better.

If you have to drink cough syrup to get a weak codiene high you shouldn't be doing drugs to begin with. ; )

But seriously, you could chug that whole bottle and you wouldn't feel that much of anything.

I think it was Mytussin AC my dad had once and I drank some.. probably about 100 mgs codeine total and it wasn't much of anything
