Not sure what to do with that Concerta? Here's a handy prep guide. (w/pics!)

So we all know trying to abuse Concerta is a bitch. Especially when you have a capsule and you have no idea what to do with it. So in this FAQ I'm going to try to help you out a bit.

What you'll need:
-Razor blade/Exacto knife or anything sharp really
-Card
-Something to crush the snortable part with
-Concerta (shown here is a 36mg pill)

Spoiler for what you need:

Step 1:
Take your razor blade and cut a slit all the way down the pill. Put the corner of the blade under the coating you just cut and start prying it off with your blade. This coating is relatively easy to cut off if it has warmed up a little bit. If it is a little warmer, it will generally come off in about 3 pieces. If it is colder, for example, if it is straight out of the pill bottle, chances are that it will be a bitch to get off, as shown in the example below. To help prevent this, a trick I came up with in my time of Concerta usage was to put the pill in the microwave for about 2 seconds. Or, perhaps carry it around in your pocket for a while. The warmth will soften the coating.

Now, this coating has 22% of the mg content of the pill, and is the instant release part of the capsule, that dissolves into your blood stream as soon as ingested. Eat this. It tastes terrible, but it would be a terrible waste not to eat it. I usually save eating it for after I've completed everything, right before I snort the rest of the pill. Under your tongue works well, as does swallowing it with water.

Step 2:
If you're really fuckin' good at cutting shit you might be able to bypass this step by completing it along with step 1. But I'm not, so I'll put this segment in here as well.
Cut down the waxy coating of the pill with your razor, and again, try prying it off by putting the corner under the wax. This one is a lot harder to get off, so it will most likely come off in many more pieces. This is a bitch of a step and may take a while, but hang in there, it's worth it. Once you have taken this off, discard it, it's worthless.

Step 3:
Now, you will notice that there are three parts to the pill. The white and the yellow parts are the valuable parts, together containing the last 78% of the mg content of the pill. The brown piece is just the time release mechanism, that lets out little bits of methylphenidate over time into your system. As your stomach acids affect the pill, this brown sponge pushes the methylphenidate out of the capsule, and into your system. Give this piece the chop, and chuck it.

Step 4:
Fold your yellow and white pieces into a piece of paper, or something to contain the powder. Take your crushing device, and, well, crush them. When you've crushed them all up, it should look a little like this:

Take your card and crush it up as fine as you can possibly get it. Unless of course, you wanna be sniffing constantly to keep the substance in your nose, and have it crust up a fair bit in there. Now, roll up your bill, and rail those suckers!

Great guide MOP! Never done Concerta but if I get some I'll def. look at this. So is Concerta basically just another form of Ritalin/Methylphenidate?

Boredoms: Yes, it is another form of Ritalin, it's time release methylphenidate. Which is why Ritalin is so much easier to use because all you have to do is crush and snort, wheras with this you have to bypass the time release and such.

Yeah, I've probably gone through this process about 12 times in the last week or two so I know for sure it works lol. I've been on such a huge concerta binge, I swear I'm starting to get addicted to the stuff :P.

I actually don't find the concerta to burn at all. It goes up really smoothly. The problem with it however, is if you snort too much up the same nostril in a small time period, it won't get absorbed and will start to drip down the front of your nose. This, is really fucking annoying. You have to sniff every 30 seconds, also annoying everyone around you. So I usually will snort one line up one nostril and one line up the other and sniff REALLY hard a good few times to make sure it doesn't come back down. If you do this, you should be golden. It's only happened to me maybe 3 or 4 times, but unfortunately, 2 of those times were during an exam and it pissed everyone off lol.

Your a a hero to me man. I took conterta for a little while at my treatment center. I cheeked about 6 pills and spent hours in the bathroom trying to crush the damn thing, and everntally just popped them all, still didn't feel anything.

Oh I forgot to tell you. If you get a standard rectangle razor blade it will make everytihng so much easier. And stay away from rusty blades like you have. If you snort that shit by accident you may want to double check when your last tetnis shot was.

Falcon0r: Yeah, the problem is, I just don't know where to get them. But my blade is really just kinda discoloured, none of it actually comes off the blade, but I'll be careful nonetheless! Do you know where would usually sell a razor blade? Because I've actually really wanted one for a while now.

I had a million of these Concerta pills a while ago from my script, I eventually figured out how to do this. I used to cut the pill in half before peeling off the inner coating but your way looks a lot easier.

One thing though, I heard the first white coating also contains methylphenidate like it's an instant release part of the pill. I don't know if it's true but I tried putting a few of the coatings under my tounge and they melted down. I don't know if I felt anything, I just got a chemical taste.

It's probably not worth doing anything with the coatings.

No, it's worth it for sure. I'm pretty sure it also said something about it on the Concerta official website but I'm not 100%. I've definitely heard it from other places and from first hand experience I would say it works for sure.

Depends on how I'm feeling. Sometimes I'll only do 40mg but sometimes I'll do 60-80mg. It's all just personal preference. But on average I'll do either 1 and a half 36mg pills or just one single 54mg pill at a time.
