    Default Favourite Beer?

I'm a big beer fan, my favourite being VB (Victoria Bitter, yes I'm aussie).
Post your favourite beer here, so others can give them a go if we see them around, and expand our tastes.

Edit: Please specify your country so we know where the beer is from.

I'm not much of a beer fan, but I drink "flavoured beers". Such of these would be the new Smirnoff Twists.

I'm not much of a beer fan either, I'd rather Bundy Rum, but if I end up drinking beer, it would probably be a nice cold Corona with Lemon... Yuumm....

Hmm.. It's so hard to pick just one..

    Guinness is always good.

For your basic just plain getting snookered with the buddies, I'm a big fan of Leinenkugels.

For crazy flavor, theres a local brewery that makes a bourbon barrel stout (they brew the thickest, darkest stout they can, and then age it in bourbon casks). Very potent, very delicious.

Also good for high alcohol beers are barley wines. Dogfish Head makes a good barley wine, as well as a killer barley stout.

For Mexican beers, my favorite would have to be Negro Modelo.

Asian beers, my favorites are Tsing Tao and Sapporo.

    Newcastle
    Shiner Bock and Hefeweizen
    Harp and Guiness Half-n-half

We have a local bar here called Union Jacks with about 100 beers to choose from ...I'm slowly working my way thru the list. It should only take me a few more days to try them all at the rate I'm going right now...

Smirnoff twists? Definitely not beer. Give me a nice and easy Bud light and Im happy, although I suppose some of you Europeans out there (read Germans) might contend Bud light isnt a beer either.

I'm not a real big beer drinker. I think I've only ever had Coors Light, Budweisier, Bud Lite, Miller Lite, Corona, and Smirnoff Ice (if you consider that beer). My favorite is Corona, but I like them all if I'm buzzed enough.

I had a swinger friend who drank Keystone Light constantly. Dan was pretty damn cool; he turned me on to the Reverend Horton Heat.

MacTarnahan's Amber Ale for chilling with some friends. You'll either have to go to Portland, Oregon to get it or find it at a well-stocked liquor store. I'm in Los Angeles and only one store that I know of here carries it.

For getting plowed, I pick Double Bastard. It tastes like someone dumped some whiskey in your beer.

VB was my favourite when I lived in Sydney (although I definitely liked Extra Dry as well).

Now that I live in Adelaide, I think my favourite is supposed to be Coopers, but I definitely have found kinship with Toohey's Old. It's as dark as Guiness but not quite as thick. I love both, really. But Old. Mmm. Old.

What is with Eastern states people liking VB? I think I'd probably like it more if I wore a flannel shirt and hit my wife. Southwark Premium and Boag's Premium would be my favourites. But I normally drink coopers. Yes, you're meant to like it or people shun you. Seriously. Once I drank West End when there was coopers on tap and got shunned.

That's because West End is dirtier than Tasmanians.

But not as dirty as VB. I have a friend who hasn't cut or washed his hair in two years and doesn't wear shoes. He likes VB too. Subculture++

VB is better than West End. Give me a break. West End tastes like it has jizz in it.

And I'd know better than you what that tastes like!

Being a poor (and underage) college student, I'm stretching my limits of connoisseur-age as it is...

I'd love to figure out where to get my hands on some, though. From what I've read, it would be right up my alley.
