Here's the deal.

Don't hook up donations, purchases, or sales of paraphenelia or anything that could possibly fall into the Drug Analogue Act of 1986. You are on a forum entitled "Drugs and Booze". It not only would be an extremely tough defense to claim that you didn't intend something for human consumption that you found on a forum called "Drugs and Booze", but it would be an extremely tough defense for Juice and I as well. Our necks are on the line with this. They'll be even further out on the line very shortly.

Don't buy, sell, or donate anything that could even be QUESTIONABLE, regardless of legality. Don't try to sell your "tobacco water pipe", don't try to purchase HBr "cough supressant". I do not have the money to afford a lawyer when the DEA comes after my ass, regardless of whether or not you do.

Please try to remember that we are drug users, and as such, the entire world is out to find a way to crucify us.

Does it seem unfair to you? Maybe. But your neck isn't on the line. Cheech got busted for selling bongs over the internet because of interstate laws. I don't want to be hung out to dry for an internet forum.

And I'm pretty sure you don't want to get hung out to dry for a post.

I know of at least two states in which Salvia is illegal. I believe there are 3, but it's late and I'm drunk, so I'm not going to look it up.

But I'm also not going to jail for interstate commission of goods or harboring the people that violate those very odd sets of laws, whatever the hell they're called. If Cheech can get nailed for selling a bong, I think it's better-safe-than-sorry on all things drug-related. Shit, we don't even have enough "age verification" to keep a seller from getting busted when he sells "a novelty item" to an underaged kid. Or to keep that kid's parents from bringing the weight down on myself, Juice, or TGO.

And more importantly, I don't have the money to defend myself in court over it, and unlike many websites, I don't make the profit from here in order to make it worth my while to take the risk .

Thanks. Sorry that it's so strict, but it's a lot easier to let some other sucker take the fall -- there's plenty of them. Currently acceptable site-referral rules still apply - send 'em to a site to purchase their novelty tobacco pipe or "herbal incense" (but not research chems). Given the nature of our forums though, I don't think we've got a decent defense that would protect us under the Drug Analogue Act if we allowed that sort of trade here.

No hard feelings towards anyone. I just realized that no one had really got this out in the open. If we had, I'd be down here like wrath of God or grapes or something. But we hadn't, and apparently the last time that this was addressed at all was previous to Cheech & Co. getting arrested for selling bongs in the United States. Color me paranoid, color me your grandmother, whatever. If I go down for something, it had better be for something *I* did, you know?
