I will start with Mionetto MO Prosecco. I'll give you tasting notes next time I have some.
I only drink wine with family really, but my favorite would have to be Montepulciano d'Abruzzo.

I prefer a nice Lambrusco.. otherwise known as the coca cola of wines.
Just your adverage bloke who like's abit of torture.

Well, I don't drink much alcohol, but my favorite whine is always about how we can't seem to find any good coke, like we could, back in the old days...
I like dry red wine. Cab sav for me.
I don't drink any more.
I'm funky, not a junky, but I know where to get it...

Dry Cabernet Sauvigs. South American ones. $15/bott range is great. I love drinking red wine from the bottle, swilling it. Also nice from a glass with a great dinner, just taking little hits, so damn good.....

Really sweet, high alcohol content. Mogen David and Manischewitz are two good ones.

I forgot the name of but I had this really good sparkling wine from Russia. Was having the time of my life when I had it so I guess both the location and good mood made it taste better than it should have lol.
My favorite is Amarone del' Valpolicella. Its from the Verona region of northeast Italy. They let the grapes dry for 2 days prior to pressing. This makes the wine a little stronger with a dark, woody and ever-so-slightly sweeter taste. Otherwise, my family makes its own killer home brew. Can't drink too much of that though, or you will have the hangover from hell.
I prefer something with a fuller aroma like that of a Cabernet Sauvignon or Syrah type grape.

I have a question and this is the perfect place for it. I am going to Italy this Summer and was wondering if there would be wine there you guys would recommend I try. I am not of legal age to drink in the USA so my experience with alcohol (and especially wine) is limited. The person over my trip says wine and beer is cheaper than a Coke most of the time. Maybe this would also be a good time to get off using large amount of caffeine daily.
Hmm, good Italian wines.. Chianti, Marsala (sweet wine).. most of the Italian reds and whites are decent. Avoid stuff that's like €3/litre and you'll be OK.
Oh, and not a good country to go to to get off caffeine, Italian coffee is pretty much the best in Europe (besides Greek coffee).
I am not a huge coffee fan but I like some drinks. In restaurants in Italy can you buy wine by the glass like in America? I have traveled out of the US but didn't really pay any attention to that as I was younger. I have never heard of Italy being famous for anything beer related so I guess I will stick with "American" beer. lol
Any moscato d'asti, really. I don't think I've ever had any wine with food, and since I was a "lightweight" I could just drink a whole bottle, enjoy it, and pass out.
Thinking back though....wasting $15 when I could be drunk for 2 days for $9. So THAT'S where all my money went. lol. Seriously, though. I usually drink with people, at parties my mother has or parties I have. The wine usually starts AFTER everyone has eaten. More like a dessert, so that's probably where my love of sweet wines originated.
Go dtachta an diabhal tu!
I don't mean to complain but it's been a year and a half since I've been home and I'm 90% sure I left my front door open.Originally Posted by Seth

I love red wine.
Folonari Valpolicella I love.

All of it.
Nah, but back in the day when I was drinking a 5th of vodka a day, it was a fine chaser. Hell of a hangover though - not recommended except for lulz.![]()

Back when I was a full time wino (I've graduated to vodka), I liked to buy the gallons of Carlo Rossi reds. Cab got me going better than the rest but their merlot did a job too.
My favorite wine for taste is White Zif by sutters home. the berringer is too bitter for my pallate. Carlo doesn't make a bad white zif either.
The thing that made me an alcoholic though was Riunite White Lambrusco. An old friend![]()
Generally a dry red wine is what I drink, tempranillo being my favorite style, but have a hard time finding it here in the states. We drank it all the time when I spent a summer in Spain. The best wine I have ever had though, was a rkatsiteli from Russia.

Spoiler for the difference:
Any heavily oaked Chardonnay with a smooth finish. Washington state ones have proved quite nice.
