I just thought I would talk about these since most states require you to buy your liquor at a government monitored liquor store. I attend college in Louisiana and we have these kick ass drive through daiquiri places. You can order anything from a case of beer to packs of cigarettes all from the convenience of your car. Crazy right? They are the best place to stop before parties to pick up a family size (ha) daiquiri with an extra shot for less than 8 dollars. It's served in a styrofoam cup with a straw. If you ever make it down south you should definitely check out one of these.

Holy shit I always thought girl was Mac but she changed her user name.

But yeah that sounds fun as hell I think I've seen something like that around on the internet. We have drive through convenience stores where I live but they will definitely not sell you an open container.

That sounds bomb as fuck.... Daiquiris, jello shots, and margaritas (?) at the convenience of a drive-thru. Hell yes, that is awsome. Up here in the OH you can buy vials of "pre-maid jelly shots" but due to our state law I don't think there is any "real" vodka in them. When I was down in S.Carolina last summer i could buy these things called pocket shots. All the essential liquors were available. You Southerners must have btter liquor laws than us Yankees. That's awesome though that thats at your disposal like thart, Mac. Utilixe that shit lol.

And yes LSD, margaritas and more. Literally anything you could want. It's insane, and before I was of age I didn't even get carded. More bastardizing of our country's great law system

Question though. If you are the only person in the car (ie, you are driving) will they still serve you?

When my cousins got it, they could only 'serve' the non-driver(s)

Yep, and only one person in the vehicle has to have an ID. So you could have 5 people, one legal adult and they buy 5 drinks "for themself"

You can buy alcohol anywhere in Michigan as long as the place has a liquor license.. I've always thought the idea of state monitored "liquor distributors" was strange. We've also got the drive through convenience stores, but I don't think any of them serve actual mixed drinks. My favorite corner store right by my house recently rented space to this super nice dude who turned it into a little pizza/sub place right inside the store. My husband and I and my really great friend (yes, that one) got to know him pretty well while he was building the place so now if we're partying at my house and we're all too fucked up to drive, we can call the store and have a bottle of liquor delivered to my house just like a pizza. It's awesome and extremely useful. I can imagine us taking full advantage of this during the summer months lol

We have that quite a lot over here as well - when I was visiting a mate in Brighton there was this awesome pizza/kebab shop that would deliver beer, cider, wine, liquor, anything.. and it was all cheap plus their kebabs were damn tasty. This country is kinda schizo when it comes to booze, on the one hand the government hikes up the taxes to "stop irresponsible drinking" but on the other.. 24-hour licensing and booze delivery services. Weird.

Ok this thread has got me mad jealous. I got SI one damn state over getting liquor delivered to her doorstep. Mac, being able to grab margaritas and jello shots while on a blunt cruise. And fucking Quoth, getting bomb ass food delivered with a case of beer or cider. When I want booze I either have to drive or walk over to the damn stoor the traditional way. Well, on second thought maybe thats a good thing for me lol.
