    Question I need some advice

Im 18 live in NJ, legal age is 21. I wanted to know if there are any tips that you could give me to help me get served places. Tell me how old i look (http://i1177.photobucket.com/albums/..._/Pierced1.jpg)

I just want to go to local liquor stores and pick up some four lokos to go to parties and drink, and chill with friends. Let me know some tips

I grew up in Jersey, and for me it was all about knowing what places carded and what places didn't. Ask around as much as you can. Some places will sell to 16 year olds every time, some places will card 27 year olds every time. Also, I always tried to dress adult-like, as if I just got home from work or something. Honestly though I don't know if that had much impact, because the biggest issue was usually whether or not I was at a place where the people there carded. Try to find friends with older siblings; that's where the large majority of booze I got when I was in high school came from. Also, one thing I figured out in college when I was still underage is that you're going to have much better luck at bars than liquor stores. Many bars are more than happy to sell 6 packs.

Yeaaa i feel you, but neiter me or my friends know any places that sell to underage. We know places that sell ciggs/dutches to underage kids..but its harder to find places that will sell liquor to underage people. -_-

You will not like my advice.

Loose the hat and piercing. Go to a store where the attendent is an old man that looks drunk already. Carry yourself like a man not some kid. Work clothes is a great tip.

I started buying and drinking at 15, however use common since. Drink at someones house and stay there, Do Not Drive, and do not drink every day. Alcohol addiction is a bitch to control.

Drinking Under age is against the law! My son's ability to stay on a college campus was denied for breaking this law. Each state is different. I think some states raise the drivers liciens age to 21 for breaking this law.

Nothing is free, you always pay it back some how.

Me and my friends haven't really had any problem getting alcohol since we were 14. Like anonymous said it's more about finding specific places that won't card you. It's a lot easier to look 18 (legal age here) than 21 though. Plus most of my mates are of mediterranean or middle eastern descent so as a result they've all had thick facial hair since the early teens. Also most businesses in my area are asian run and at the risk of pissing ollie off by using stereotypes, they tend to card you a lot less. So yeah my advice is grow a beard if you can and try all the asian run liquor stores in your area.

Baseline is this. Most places will always card you because they get chopped for selling to kids. Shit, I'm 23 and I get carded more often than not, even in the hood. Best bet is ghetto gas stations. Liquor stores know better and corporate gas stations will card no matter what. But you don't look anywhere near legal (just my opinion), and you should make an older friend who doesn't mind supplying.

Edit: also, lose the eyebrow ring and toolbag hat tilt. Clerks will take you more seriously.

Unfortunately you look quite young - like 16 or so. I would recommend asking someone to buy it for you. Wait outside a liquor store and wait for a cool looking, young man or woman and ask if they'd be willing to pick you up a six-pack for $5. Tell them you're going to take it straight home and not drink and drive (AND DON'T). Hopefully you'll get lucky!

In that case, jack your shit. That's what my I do. I'm underage as well. Never steal alone, that's how I got caught last year. Also, be aware of your surroundings.
Go to a grocery store and sit a chick's purse in the baby seat part (bring a chick friend along, obviously..no backpacks, they'll watch you or have you leave it up front). Throw a few random things in. Find a blindspot or have someone stand in front of the cart blocking the cam's view while you slip the tall boys in without making a scene by flailing your arms all over (just in case there's another camera behind YOU...try to avoid this though).

That's really, really horrible advice. Shoplifting + minor in possession, huh?

This works occasionally, but I find that the time you spend standing around makes clerks a little suspicious, and is just a waste of time. I used to just find a homeless guy, and have him do it. Just don't let them out of your sight, besides when they walk right into the store.

Fake IDs are magnificent, but they have to be good which will mean they will be expensive. Also, a fake ID is a felony, so it's really not that great of an idea.

come here to finland! legal age 18 ^^
also, underage possession is no big deal, the cops would just pour it out and say, BYE.
    so yeah...

i'd say ask a friend to buy for you.. if you have any that are above 21
    i sure don't ;D

This may sound racist as fuck but... Find a gas station/liquor store with a cashier whom is of Middle-Eastern descent. They are chill as fuck. If no-go with that, find a clerk who is a minority...

The most important thing is to act like you belong there. If you're looking around all nervous and looking shady, they'll spot it.
Just be chill and make eye contact with the clerk on the way in and say hello. Most underage kids act nervous, confidence goes a long way.

I agree with the piercing and hat. Even if a 21 year old might wear that outfit, they would ID the 21 year old. Just dress the part and go to a sketchy place that wont care anyway. By dress the part, I mean dress as though you were a 23 yr old college student who needed a beer after the shittiest exam of his life. It works. I've done it (minus the dude part lol).
