Texas: I submit to random drug tests every month. The test is a basic 6-panel test. All it tests for is THC, benzodiazepines, amphetamine/methamphetamine, opiates, cocaine, and alcohol.
I suffer from chronic kidney stones, and am prescribed hydrocodone. My probation officer is aware, as well as my judge, and it is not a problem.
However, last night I was intense pain and was all out of my prescription. I recently lost my job and have no health insurance so I did not want to go to the ER. My wife had some oxycodone left over from a surgery that she had a while back. In desperation, without really thinking, I took one (assuming that they were the same thing).
This morning, I got up and start reading that they show up differently on a drug test, and am now extremely worries that if I am called to take a random urine analysis I could possibly be violated.
So here are my questions:
What does hydrocodone show up as on a 6-panel test? (I've been told that it doesn't show up at all on a 6-panel because a 6-panel is only testing for opiates and hydrocodone doesn't show up as an opiate. Is this accurate?)
What does hydrocodone show up as on a 12-panel test?
What does oxycodone show up as on a 12-panel test?
Is there a way to tell a difference between oxycodone and hydrocodone?
Thank you in advance for all your help.
