    Question Rubbing alcohol w/ marijuana

My Grandfather smoked marijuana for i believe upwards of ninety years till he passed away and he had severe rheumatoid arthritis. He would mix Rubbing alcohol and marijuana and days later he would use the solution on his joints. to alleviate the pain. I don't know if this actually worked ( he claimed that it did), I was just wondering if anyone else knew whether this might work?

THC is alcohol-soluble so it might work although im not sure if its soluble with the rubbing type alcohol, just with drinking alcohol.

In theory i suppose it could work, but im not sure.

Well, it would be soluble. Whether or not it had an effect beyond psychosomatic, I'm unsure. I don't know that THC is small enough to enter through pores in your skin.

RTWD said he got a thc crystal stuck in a salivary gland before, so who knows if its small enough?

Doing that kinda of extraction leaves you with a black hash oil. I know someone who used to do it with rubbing alcohol a lot. I can't see rubbing it on your skin helping but I'm not sure.

yea rubbing alcohol is pretty popular way to keen glassware and collect the resin for smoking. Ive always wondered whether it would be a good idea to smoke the resin oil.

Eesch. It'd be much better to use wood grain alcohol -- rubbing alcohol usually has nasty shit in it that you wouldn't want to drink/smoke.

Ya i never used that way nor did I inhale the product. That was like right when I started smoking weed and i thought there's no way I'm vaping something that was rubbing alcohol soaked.

Iv always used the rubbing alcohol/salt solution to clean my glass but last time I tried that out it didnt clean out 100% of the resin. I ended up scraping some of that left over resin and smoked it ( got fucked up ) That left me with the question of smoking resin that I used rubbing alcohol on. It didnt seem to make any difference but I was wondering if it was harmful.
