    Question Recreational value of Oxcarbazepine

I'm not sure whether or not to put this in one of the specific drug forums (Mind's Eye or Ups and Downs) so if this needs to be moved to one of those forums please do.

My roommate has epilepsy, and she was perscribed Oxcarbazepine (aka. Trileptal). I was just wondering the recreational properties of this drug, if any.

I searched Google and Erowid, and found nothing, so I figured here would be a good place to ask.

Alcohol has the same side effects. I love alcohol.
It is dangerous to be right in matter on which the established authorities are wrong.

I doubt whether he was going to steal her epilepsy medicine, at least I hope not. She probably gets her prescription refilled every X weeks agreed to skim him off a couple of pills.

Ah yes, a fellow Pulp Fiction fan as well.

But yes, this is exactly how it is. She has a ton of them just sitting around and whenever she runs out she gets more, so she offered me some.

She often tells me when she takes it combined with alcohol she gets drunk after 1-2 drinks. Some of my friends have taken it as well and have gotten really light headed.

Thats true, and I love alcohol too

I'd just rather go through the fun of drinking to reach that, not eating a pill

Trileptal or The anticonvulsant oxcarbazepine has some various side effects, its better to know about them beforehand or if you are taking the drug.

Here is a resource I found on the internet to learn more about the drug: Trileptal (Oxcarbazepine) Side Effects Lawsuit

I hate this mentality of "every drug can get me high until proven otherwise".

99% of drugs have no recreational value. "I took it with alcohol and got really wasted" does not count as recreational. Very good chances are if you haven't heard of it on the internet and can't find plenty of info on it, then it comes down to a choice of whether or not to eat the red berry.

Just remember that the monkey who always eats the red berries doesn't tend to stay in the gene pool very long.

Just in case the message hasn't sunk in yet: this drug isn't recreational.

it's probably because they've already had a few slices."
