Salvia and weed are COMPLETELY different. They are nothing like each other at all. Salvia is a very powerful hallucinogen.
I'm not sure they they dont make salvia illegal, but I'm not complaining

Salvia is only legal because it is a relative unknown except for stoners. Most people who don't do drugs already have no idea what salvia is, so it remains legal. As soon as it gains some recognition it will become illegal.
And weed and salvia are extremely different as Elandur stated.
Like everybody else has said,It's like apples and oranges,two totally different things.I wouldn't even say salvia is a "fucked up buzz" more like a very strong hallucination trip.Weed and salvia both have their time and place,though,and you can't really compare them,if you ask me.

Weed is by far the winner. There are postives and negatives on both sides; i.e.: Legality, Stoned vs. Tripping, etc, etc.
Even though Im in love with pot Salvia is good as well, it gives you something different in the plateau called "routine smoking"
If you do get Saliva you should get some extract, however sometimes you stumble on some really good plain leaf shit.
Comparing Salvia and Weed is like comparing an apple to a train
Pretty much - an apple is fairly harmless (weed) whereas salvia can be like a freight-train of conscciousness hitting you.. I always seem more aware of what's going on with salvia, dunno why, normally that's something I only get with 2C-E or 2-meo-whatever-the-fuck-it-is.

No, but you can get it at most headshops, or online, but unless you have you live by yourself that doesn't really work for most people.
I enjoy a few bowls of salvia. I start getting really light-headed and dizzy. Then I start hysterically laughing, for no reason, I try to talk but I can't because I'm laughing so damn hard. I went stumbling outside one night (I don't walk when I'm on salvia, I stumble.) and I though this root coming out of the ground was a brown lobster. Pretty funky stuff. Price and trip wise though weed is far superior because it lasts so much longer. Though I can see a difference in visual perception for around an hour after smoking salvia. I do suggest trying salvia though.

The reason salvia is legal while weed is not is because weed has been known and popular for many years now. While salvia is more of an unknown drug and is grown in grandmothers gardens not knowing its potency. Salvia is alot like shrooms in that it is completely natural, both can get you really fucked up, and they both can be growing in your back yard without you even knowing.
Hey, I know about salvia, and I don't do drugs or the herb at all. Well, I guess it was kind of a coincidence since I just "accidentally" ran across some sites pertaining to salvia. Oh, and I believe the reason it isn't illegal is simply because it's a herb.
I had a unfullfilling time with salvia.
A. It tastes terrible (smoke).
B. Doesn't last long.
C. Need a lot of it.

Exactly. Nobody (Nobody I can think of) would ever do Salvia on a daily basis. Weed on the other hand...
At this headshop I hang around, they sell salvia it little black packets, like made of the same stuff beef jerky comes in. Thye range from 5x extract, 10x extract, and 1 else i dont remember might be 15x extract. It is cool because you can just walk in, take if off the rack, and buy it.
