How do you know if its "good" coke, without trying it? Is there any way of knowing? If not, how do you even know its coke before you use it?

(I want to try coke, but I want to know what to expect before I buy/try it)

I don't think there is a way of testing it. The only way you can really know is by word of mouth, from your friends though, or at least people you trust, the dealer will most likely tell you it's good stuff just so you'll buy it. To tell if it's coke before you use it though, pretty simple, take the baggie of coke and stick your finger in and make sure you get some cocaine on it. Then stick your finger on your tongue and you should immediately feel a numbing sensation, much like when you are at the dentist and they give you novacaine (cocaine, novacaine, see the relation?).

taste it...if u've ever done coke before you'll know. if you're just a beginner then leave it alone alltogether. drugs are nothing to play with.

you can tell by the look and taste, if it has sort of a wetish look mostlikely it is "wet" cocaine which means it has been soaked in ether. I like it alot, it fucks you alot more, but straight coke will have more of a pinkish beigish color.. it's an extremely good ride

but dont try to tell yourself you will only do it once... you mostlikely wont, you can limit yourself but when you do caine your perspective on it will change completely

Uhm, no. Why would you soak your coke in ethyl ether? The ONLY reason you would do that is to freebase it, but it wouldn't be wet after you were done because you let it sit out to crystallize. I have no idea what kind of coke you are getting, but from the eightballs upon eightballs I have gotten, my coke has always been white. Crack rocks are sometimes known the be pink though, just be careful next time you buy coke that's pink.

edit: Addiction to cocaine is a gradual process, rarely does anyone get "addicted" the first time. If you start buying teeners and grams and stuff and keep doing it everyday then you evetually WILL become addicted, although there is nothing wrong with a gram every once an a while.
