Lithium is a metallic drug which is used to treat extreme cases of bipolar disorder. It is also very toxic. Because the therapeutic doses are so close to the toxic levels, it is only used in the most extreme cases of mood disorders. Those on lithium are given frequent blood tests to make sure that it has not reached toxic levels, which can cause liver failure or other deadly problems. This isn't a substance you want to take unless you absolutely have to. It has no recreational potential.

Can anyone give me anymore information about it? I'm not taking Lithium, but someone I really care about is into it now.

when I was in the mental hospital they had me on lithium for a short time, fuck that shit. I'd say if your friend is doing it recreationally you should tell them to stop, cause there is really no reason to be doing lithium recreationally at all, and there are so many other wonderful drugs they could be spending their time/money/effort/etc on. If they are prescribed it, well, then doctor knows best, they outta stick with the treatment plan but if it's not working then talk to their doctor about it.

A friend of mine takes 3 huge tabulets of lithium a day... Theres a medical reason though.

Taking any psycoactive drug for an extended period of time will change a person, sometimes for the worse if they arn't supposed to be taking it, and sometimes for the better if they are by request of a qualified medical official. Bottom line is you shouldn't do too much of any psycoactive substance unless it totally rules like :epi:

What doses of lithium is your friend taking?

This chemical has absolutely no rec value at all. Even if I was prescribed to it I would refuse taking lithium. You can go into psychotic convulsions, have sparatic periods of intense fear of impending death or fear for your life, and not to mention liver failure or death. For no reason should you combine lithium with any other psycadellic drug or any drug period. I recommend never even using this drug unless your psychiatrist strongly advises that you do. I love psychoactive drugs and I don't have much bad to say about many of them, but this drug even I wouldn't fuck with it. I hope you friend gets educated about lithium, and I hope all goes well.
