I was in NZ, Auckland specifically, for ANZAC day in 2005. Shit was a trip. I had so much fun. I bought an awesome fuckin book on the Australian contribution to WWII at this little bookstore too. It was great, concise and highly informative.

I so want to say something to the effect of "it'd have to be", but I love my aussie cohorts and instead wish them well on their holiday.

Hahahaha I was hoping that wouldn't come across as the way that I meant it. But you'd be surprised. Look into it. Their whole mother fuckin country was almost invaded by the Japs haha, so they needed all the troops they could manage to shore up their own got damn borders. It was pretty interesting though man, you forget other countries were involved in the World Wars other than the major ones you learn about in History and Western Civ. Their contributions were pretty great.

Can't see myself getting up at dawn for a service, but I bought a little $2 medallion that were getting sold at school to show my support lol. I get a day off school for it too, so I'll probably end up having a few cones in their honour.
