One of the more interesting things about this trip report is that I grew these shrooms myself. I wasn't sure how good they were, so I decided to test them out before selling them. They were fantastic.
I measured out a little over an 8th for myself and my friend Michela. We stirred them into some black cherry tea, which actually didn't taste all that bad. Dry shrooms get a weird texture when you dunk them in tea, though... that part wasn't too pleasant.
After about an hour, lines started getting fuzzy and the usual rainbow haze started to form around everything. We decided to go lay on the lawn outside under the stars. For a while, the visuals were pretty mild. After about an hour and a half, though, I started seeing some of the most fantastic shit ever. The grass was sliding around me like sand dunes, and it looked like my sleeping bag was just floating around on it as the waves passed under me. Soon after that, I noticed that the sky looked like jello. The stars were all blinking on and off, and they were swimming around through the jello. It sounded like Michela was seeing pretty close to the same thing, which was interesting.
I didn't get any weird vibes until I saw a sihlouette on my roof. It was the chimney, but every time I saw it out of the corner of my eye it looked like some huge guy staring at me.
Pretty soon, Michela had to pee, which meant going inside, which neither of us wanted to do. It was creepy feeling in there, and it didn't help that my cat decided to jump off of a shelf right in Michela's face as we walked by. A few minutes later, I had a bat fly right past my face as I was smoking a cigarette on the deck. Shrooms aren't very fun when shit is jumping out at you.
Not much cool stuff happened after that, except that an almond tree by my house looked like a huge flamingo, and I didn't think twice about the giant flamingo in my yard until later when I realized it was actually a tree.
We both got a bit sick feeling as we came down... but it was well worth it. If shrooms were like that every time, I'd probably do them a lot more.

Glad to hear they were good and that you were successful at cultivating mushrooms. I have still yet to grow any of my own, but plan to soon :)

It's a pretty fun experience, actually. I just used the Magic Mushroom Grower's Guide from erowid.org. It cost me less than $60 to get started.

The only hard thing about them is that they take a lot of patience. Past that, they pretty much grow themselves... you just have to give them the right conditions, which isn't very hard (room temperature, humidity, and about an hour of low light every day).
You can find the spores online... I used www.sporebank.com and so far I'm pretty happy with the results.

First off, by far the best site out there for learning how to grow mushrooms is www.mycotopia.net
It has all the same info (and more) that the shroomery does, and much nicer politer people.
Second, look at their list of sponsers, every one of those has had overwhelming support from their customers, specificly i recommend the Sporelab www.sporelab.com and Ralphsters (which you can find in the sponsors section)
It's actually quite easy to do, look for the "invitro" tek, no fruiting chambers, no humidifiers, no stupid 2 liter bottle chains. Just half pint jars, with brown rice and vermiculite.
Thats it, nothing more.
Growing mushrooms is a felony, just like growing pot is, same penalties.
However, they don't smell, don't draw much power, and don't radiate much heat, and don't need much light, or a lot of space. So it's much easier to hide them.

I thought it was legal to sell grow kits as long as instructions weren't included ;\ Is it still legal to own fresh mushrooms? I remember it was legal as long as they were fresh and weren't in the process of being dried or being processed for consumption.
