This reminded me of a kid in one my classes I was talking to a few days ago. He was telling me about how he's going back to Pakistan over break (he's originally from there) and I jokingly made a comment about how he could get hooked up with good heroin and he was like nobody does that there. It's all about opium and kush.

He then went on to tell me about how kush in the US isn't real kush and that I would be blown away by the quality of the kush they have there and how good the opium is. It was pretty interesting to here and that chart just reminded me of it.

It all depends on the area, Pakistan is a big country. Karachi is all hash and heroin, you probably couldn't find any decent green weed if you tried. Ridiculously hot, pretty much completely dry, I doubt you could grow good weed there.
Not all of Pakistan is like that though. People find it surprising but there are areas you could mistake for Switzerland. Your friend is probably from a greener area.

Yeah I studied the Middle East/India a lot in HS so I know how the terrain and climate varies in certain areas.

He didn't say what area he was from but I assume it has to be somewhere greener if they are growing a lot of poppy and kush there since that stuff isn't going to grow too well in the middle of the desert.
