Keeping Acid?

Resently a friend of mine said that he could get me some acid; he was suppose to get it today but didn't have his damn phone on! But it turns out it could have been a good thing because when I told another friend about what happened he mentioned that you cant keep Acid for very long, and that it will disintergrate after a while unless you keep it in a fridge. I can't exactly do this because I don't want my dad coming to me asking why I have Acid... I was going to get it now and do it next month when some friends are more available, so I just wondered how long Acid can last?

If I am not mistaken I believe it can last up to 3 months if you wrap your hits in tinfoil and put them in the very back of the freezer under a bunch of stuff so hopefully your parents wont find them.

Light, heat, and air (I think) make acid not as potent.

You should really get some. I think everyone needs to trip on acid at least once in their lifetime.

Well I really do want to get on acid! Its almost been almost my life's goal for the past few months, but now that I have to put it into a fridge then I'm so sure my dad will find it. Man this sucks... I might just have to see how long my friend can get it for and do it as close to the date as I can.

I think I'll do it with others first before I do it on my own. I wouldn't mind seeing for myself what somebody else on acid looks and acts like, and also I promised my friend I would do it with her because she isn't as "drug educated" as me (in other words she rarely does drugs).

Yeah definitely take it with your friend. Your first experience will be 100 times better. The right environment to trip in is one with other people tripping. Once you get used to what it does, being in public is lots of fun, so many crazy fuckers, and everything is just kaleidoscopic vision.

Although I must say, tripping by yourself is also lots of fun. Wouldn't do this until you have experience. I've done it maybe 10 times, never had one bad experience. Taken acid probably like 60-70 times all within one summer.

Also, I've always wondered how much control you have over yourself when you're tripping, and how really intense bad trips are?

I've heard some wild stories from Erowid, but most seem to be positive.

Well I find it hard to have a bad trip or have any major hallucinations on one hit of acid.
I can pretty much socialize as I normally would and go about my day on one hit of Acid. Three is when things start getting a little more intense.

On one hit everything is just absolutely hilarious and it's very hard to control your laughter, you might get some hallucinations like your hands might look like globs, stuff like that.

I also have a hit of acid that I'm storing. What I did was wrap it in tinfoil, put this is a baggie to seal out air, and put it in the little area behind the window but infront of the screen. It's well hidden and keeps pretty cool.

Could someone confirm how long it lasts before it goes bad? I've heard everything from a few weeks to a few years.

My buddy kept 4 hits of acid (on blotter paper) from a bonnaroo trip in his drawer for almost a year. It was sitting in a dime bag then wrapped in a bit of tinfoil. Him and my other friend each took 2 hits. Other than taking almost a full 2 hours to kick in, they tripped their schlongs off. I was trip sitting, they were in La La land haha. I believe acid is a pretty dame stable chemical and if stored properly will last for a looooooong time. Doesn't necessarily have to be in a cold environment either. It most definitlely helps to vacuum seal it if possible, although my friend's wasn't so go figure.

Moral of the story: If acid is a rarity in your area but you are dying to do it, just buy it. You can store it until you are ready to do it, even if that is months away.

I've kept 6 really potent hits tucked away in just aluminum foil and in a briefcase. Not exactly sure how long I had them, I'd say a good 3-4 months and they were equally as potent as some I took from the batch right when I bought it. Just make sure it's at least out of direct heat and light and it ought to last a reasonable amount of time.
