Is anybody going? I dont know if the idea is 100% planned but there will most likely be a 40th anniversary show.

A couple years ago I went up and partied on a nearby farm on the anniversary. They had a few bands playing and it was kind of low-key (maybe 800 people?) and tight.
I probably would personally avoid an "official" Woodstock unless it was run by the right people the right way.

Meh, if I'm still around in ten years, maybe I'll hit up the 50th, but right now that doesn't seem any better than any other festivals it's competing against for my time/money. Besides, the nostalgia thing doesn't really hold to me as I wasn't there for the first one and while I like most festival-goers, this seems like it would attract a lot of dirty hippies.
