My dad found my hookah

So, I have 2 hookahs, (1 little travel sized one is my best friends, and i have a 30 inch one). I usually keep them in my bathroom, in their cases. My mom knows and doesnt care, but my dad didn't know about it. However, we just put them back in the bathroom in the corner all set up, because we figured it would be fine. No one but me and my friends use my bathroom, because it is only connected to my room. However, today, during my SAT tutor (very ghey i assure), our maid brought the big one into my room to clean the bathroom. My dad (I assume, because I was downstairs when this happened) walked in to ask Rosa a question and saw it. All i can say is "WHEEW". I thought he would be hella pissed, but he just came down and during the middle of my SAT shit, goes: Tom, why is their a giant hookah in your room? I saw it while rosa was cleaning your bathroom. (I'm trying to think of something) He continues: Normally people dont use those for much else than smoking pot.... (WHEW, knowing i'll pass a DT, havent smoked in like 5 weeks), so i explained the concept of shisha to him. He said "O ok, " and left to go to lunch with his friend. Good thing is he didn't flip. He is definately the kind of person who wouldnt have cared if I had tutoring going on to flip out on me. I cant tell if this is a good or bad thing, because if he knows and doesnt care, we dont have to be covert about it, but I need to judge his reaction more thouroly. (sp?). Well..... thats my story. Anyone else been caught with a similar reaction?

haha, how awkward, yeah it sucks, but at least he knows and is chill about it. Just don't let him catch you in the act and be normal about it. Put it in your past and go on like nothing happened, swallow the guilt and anxiety.


P.S. possible new hiding spot? ask him to smoke with you? ... i mean common he knew what the thing was.

I dont think hes into this stuff anymore, he used to be a HUGE hippy, then kinda hopped the fence and worked for nixon. Yeah, I figured that he thinks I can make the decision, but I'm not sure if I should do it non-covertly now? I just dunno how awkward it would be.

eh, thats good though that he took it like that. See my mom flipped when i told her i had pierced nipples a while back, but i told her about the whole shisha smoking thing and she didnt really care. Some parents REALLY react to certain things, just depends what :(

well im assuming ur hookah is a bong? Anyways, my parents know. They told me last year infront of my whole family! who had just come down from boston at a christmas dinner. We somehow got into the subject, and he said matt we know you and andy go out and smoke before you come back to the house because you always come to the kitchen and rip through the cubbards and fridge. I simply said yeh i used to but i quit because of football. And i could have passed a test because i actually did quit. But i still have to be shady and lie when i go out to smoke, and i keep alot of incense(sp?) flavored with marijuana supposivley around my room for when i smoke in there. So i dont reccomend just being out and open about smokin with your parents unless they're really really cool about it like some of my friends are. (p.s.-its really fun to smoke with ur friends parents)

i can guarentee thats how my parents feel about me...and that was before my mom found out i smoked....

and also, usually the parents don't care much as long as you show you respect them enough to TRY and hide it, considering any law enforcement, or freinds/relatives come in, they won't have to get arrested/make excuses for you.
