D&B Forum pay it forward

That cheezy movie pay it forward just gave me an idea. I'm sick and tired of the low activity in D&B.com, there are times I can remember when D&B had more activity as a part of LWS. I'm not saying D&B becoming its own entity is a bad thing, in fact it's a great thing and gives lots of potential for growth. We need to capitolize on this potential, the forum is withering away from what I can tell. That is why we all need to participate in operation pay it forward, therre are no rewards other then having a richer fuller community. You all have friends that do drugs, and chances are at least 3 of them have the internet. Your challenge is to get 3 people to join D&B.com/zoints Each of them that sticks with the forum should get 3 more people to join, and so forth. I have already started myself, and got a friend to join zoints, I didn't get a chance to show her D&B.com but I will very soon. I will get 2 other people to join also, and I'm counting on all of you to do the same. D&B.com needs some free promotion and this is how we can accomplish that.

However, the forum isn't "withering". We've actually shown a constant increase in both user registration and new threads posted per month. We're producing about 150% of the old single D&B forum per day, and I think August should continue this upward trend. We have yet to have a single "down" month where we've failed to improve in reg, threads, and posts.

I monitor the stats like a crack baby.

Don't forget -- you can always put the banner on your MySpace and/or Zoints pages...we've been seeing some good random hits from that. We also pull in a lot of people from Wikipedia (I'd like our Ziki to be more fruitful as a result).

I'm also expecting a sharper increase as school kicks back off into session for the next couple weeks. I know I'm at least working on passing the word along to my new friends. :)

I still need to sort my zoints out and stick my banner to this place back up. I've just been too lazy to sort it out. Anyway, in terms of refering people, I've refered a couple, but when I head back into college I intend to persuade a whole lot more, as I'll actually be meeting people who use the internet. Plus, with it being an art college we can expect stereotypical druggie artists.

Last night i was thinking about how much D&B has picked up since we became an independant zoints community. We're going strong, but getting more people would be great

Great idea.

However, the forum isn't "withering". We've actually shown a constant increase in both user registration and new threads posted per month. We're producing about 150% of the old single D&B forum per day, and I think August should continue this upward trend. We have yet to have a single "down" month where we've failed to improve in reg, threads, and posts.

Don't forget -- you can always put the banner on your MySpace and/or Zoints pages...we've been seeing some good random hits from that. We also pull in a lot of people from Wikipedia (I'd like our Ziki to be more fruitful as a result).

I dunno Ollie, there were times when D&B was really bustling, but you are right that was a long time ago. But there was once a time when I couldn't keep up with the threads and posts, now I find myself straining to find something to say, look at the liqour store no one has posted there for 2 or 3 days now. Ups and Downs gets maybe 3 threads bumped a day. Hotbox seems to do really well but I don't go there since I am not a really big weed fan, nor are there usaully any questions or comments needing my expertise there.

Bottom line is get at least 3 people you know on this forum. They don't have to become a regular poster, but something is better then nothing. It's also a game of odds, if we get a buttload of people to join some of them are going to become regular posters.

Yeah but thunder, in the time you've been gone it has picked up alot, we're trying hard. I personally have reffered a few users. I'll keep reffering too. Just dont have too high of expectations
