It was probably 2 years ago when I first got into lucid dreaming. For those that don't know what lucid dreaming is - it is essentially realizing your dreaming in the midst of a dream, and taking control.

I started to research it online and got some tips, such as:
- Write down dreams as soon as you wakeup
- Make it a habit to reread things twice, usually in a dream words get scrambled on second look
- Read the dreams you wrote down
- Look for patterns in your dreams
- Etc.. (A google search for lucid dreaming will provide a plethora of info).

Anyhow, I was never consistent with my practice and in effect was never able to successfully have a lucid dream... Not until about a week ago.

It happened by accident. I'm currently on vacation, and got here a little over a week ago. It was my first nap in Spain, and the dream took place in Spain what was supposed to be later that night; but in my dream I remembered never visiting some museum (which I was to visit once I woke up), and realized I was dreaming.

From then until now I have been napping everyday, as well as going to sleep late at night, and I have had extremely vivid dreams. I have also become aware that I was dreaming in the midst of the dream at least once every other day. However, I was unable to take control until a few days ago, I would try but couldn’t really figure out how.

A few nights ago I took control, but wasn’t happy with it, as right after I took control I woke myself up. I wanted to try again. Sure enough, I fell back asleep and took control. I made myself fly into the sky and spiral a bit - but it was tough and I woke up.

The next night I was sleeping in a different hotel in Spain, and once again became aware of my sleep in the midst of my dream. In my dream I decided I'd go to try and find some drugs. This dream was weird because I didn't have complete control of the dream, but I was able to make some conscious decisions. The hotel was much cooler in my dream with a lot of drug users on the bottom floor, haha. I met some awesome dude, who gave me 2 grams of incredible weed, a mushroom grow kit, and something else (I can't remember what) for $50.

Then, today at around 3 PM I took a nap. Half-asleep I decided I wanted to play ice hockey, as I thought gliding on ice would be pretty fun. I then played a full ice-hockey game in my dream with my friends. Unfortunately, I don't really remember the dream to well but I know I had a lot of fun during it, and I can't wait to try and take control tonight. I find having a goal for what to do in your dream makes it easier, because If I don't know what I want to do as soon as I realize I'm dreaming I just wakeup.

Well, that's it - thought I'd share. Also, when I don’t realize I’m dreaming, I usually have really intense dreams that are totally nuts. One of which I got into a car accident trying to park a car, and when I got out of the car to check it out I started tripping balls and couldn’t figure out how to get back into / to the car. It felt like what I imagine a K-hole to be like, but I have never even tried K, haha.

Peace.

I have this CD wich u listen too while u fall asleep and i guess you "unconcious mind" or something like that hear every word, whether or not your asleep. But yeah the point of it is that you think of something and fall asleep with the cd on and you supposed too have a lucid dream with that thought you thoguht of earlier. The CD dosnt work if you have ADD(like me) because your thoughts are always changing and stuff.

I've actually had some lucid dreams. I'll just be off into my dream and realized how the fuck could this ever be real. So you take control and you can use your mind to nearly do anything, but sometimes what you choose to do will take you out of control and you dont relize your dreaming anymore. It's quite great, but I havent had any recently :/ I wish I could have these dreams all day long.

I became aware I was dreaming in a dream while I was being chased by the cops, I just took off and started flying around and got away from the pigs, then I woke up. It was really fun tho.

Glad this topic is brought up I know quite a bit about it and have been doing it for a while.

I can have lucid dreams about once every week or two now. You can reach states of control where you can choose your surroundings, transform objects, simulate real life akward situations to "practice".

My most common lucid activies are usually flying around or exploring an imaginary pyschadelic looking mushroom land I always imagine. But i've used it before to pretend a job interview or something weird.

A lot of people have reported trying drugs in dreams and having similar effects to waking life.

Anyways i'd recommend everyone at least read up on it, its very interesting and at least gives me something to look foward to every night.

Heres the two links i'd reccomend the most.

www.ld4all.com (A good site that covers pretty much everything you'd want to know)

This was the first FAQ I read
http://www.lucidity.com/LucidDreamingFAQ2.html

Lucid dreaming can become a very rewarding and fun activity with practice.

It really is awesome. Last night I had no luck taking control, but it's all good. I was trying to dream myself into a party with all my friends, playing beer pong - but I just had dreams and never realized I was sleeping.

Drugs in dreams are definitely awesome, as it can reach levels of intensity that are tough to get to in reality. What I want to know is can you lucid dream things you know nothing about? Could I lucid dream myself into say, a south-american ayahuasca ceremony? I'm pretty sure you can, and that's what makes lucid dreaming so awesome. Even if you know very little about something, you can live an experience based on your perspective of it, and your dream should just progress you through it. Right?

These lucid dreams began while I was reading Daniel Pinchbeck's, Breaking Open The Head, which is his account of taking various psychedelics with native tribes and his beliefs that developed. It's an awesome book, and I had been reading it everyday, causing me to spend my day analyzing everything in a very trippy mindset, questioning if reality is reality, etc. I think if one does this throughout the day it becomes much easier to lucid dream because in the dream you will question reality, and sure enough you'll realize you're dreaming...

I love lucid dreaming, I have been trying to get a hang of it for quiet a while. But I NEVER remember my dreams (probly cause I dont get enough sleep/I am rushed to wake up).

When I DO have them, I either find drugs or kill things..

My most recent one, was in a dual against a Giant mushroom (from Mario), it was a bit bigger than my house..
Anyway.. I had a stack of trays full of drugs..
The drugs were my 'ammo' against this mushroom dude..
Anyway, one of the trays flew and I was flying around throwing drugs at this giant mushroom (I ate some of the drugs in my dreams.. they were like really colourful Mushroom cupcakes)..

Anyway.. I Am flying around on my tray and i Fly up to my parents bedroom window.. My Dad says to me "We know what you have been taking"..
My tray crashes... And I wake up really scared about wether my parents know anything about what I have taken...
Crazy.
