Hey dude - good call, I've always wanted to get a vaporizer but always forget to search for a way to make one. ANYWAY - I found awesome instructions that are a alot easier than the 3 in the link above. I just made mine, took like 30 min to do everything - I'll post pics later. does anyone know where to get glass tubes that you could use instead of the straws? is that something that you can just get at the hardware store or what

You can either steal glass tubes from your science class or probably get them at a hardware store, or k-mart (maybe). Straws work fine though - no worries.
